If you’re curious about how I understand the challenges you’re experiencing in higher education, the answer is simple:

I’ve lived them.

I began my career on college campuses as a theater educator, with doctoral studies in theater and experience as a graduate teaching assistant. I know what it feels like to face distracted students, complex institutional dynamics, and the pressure to make learning engaging and relevant.

That work eventually led me to the performance side of campus life, where I spent decades working with college audiences nationwide and was consistently recognized as one of the most in demand campus entertainers in the country. Performing thousands of programs for college audiences gave me rare, firsthand insight into how attention is earned, how trust is built, and why some messages land while others miss entirely.

Over time, that understanding became the foundation of my work as a keynote speaker and leadership educator. Today, I bring those lessons back to higher education, helping faculty, staff, and campus leaders strengthen communication, deepen engagement, and reconnect with the purpose behind what they do.

I believe professional development sessions, conferences, and campus events should be engaging, practical, and transformative. That belief shapes every keynote I deliver.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

How do you tailor your presentations for educational audiences?

I began my career as a theater educator, so I understand the realities faced by both students and those who teach, support, and lead them. Because of that background, I’m able to use stories, examples, and demonstrations that resonate authentically with higher education audiences and reflect the environments they work in every day.

Can your training help improve student engagement?

Yes. My Read the Room and Own the Room programs are especially effective in higher education settings. These sessions focus on listening, presence, and awareness, helping educators and staff strengthen how they communicate and connect. The result is greater clarity, confidence, and engagement in classrooms and campus interactions.

Keynote speaking or workshops? I’m not sure where to start. What’s the most effective way to create positive change?

Each offering supports your goals in a different way. Keynotes create shared awareness and spark meaningful conversations around communication and leadership. Workshops provide hands on opportunities to strengthen skills and apply those ideas in real situations. Experiential demonstrations rooted in mentalism help make abstract communication concepts visible and memorable. I’m happy to help you decide which approach best fits your audience and objectives.

It’s time for your educational institution to strengthen communication, reenergize your teams, and deepen student engagement.

Let’s work together to make that happen.
